Fight For Survival | Tales Of Bangladeshi Returnee Women Migrant Workers

Women migrant workers are some of the hardest-hit groups by the COVID-19 pandemic. Till June 2021, more than 51,500 women migrant workers have lost jobs and returned to Bangladesh. With the financial support from the Government of Japan, UN Women Bangladesh implemented “Women and Girls at the Center of COVID-19 Prevention” project that economically empowered around 582 women returnee migrant workers and benefitted 50,000 family members of the women migrant workers.
