The Chittagong Hill Tracts in southeast Bangladesh, consisting of three Hill Districts, are home to 11 ethnic groups and a population of 1.6 million. The region is characterized by steep, rugged terrain and dense jungle. Since 2003, the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Facility supports sustainable development and confidence building in the post-conflict region.
