Women of the World is a festival that celebrates women and girls and takes a frank look at the obstacles they face across the world. It is a festival of performances, talks, debates, activism, workshops, food, music, exhibitions, mentoring and more. It is a place where hundreds of womens’ stories can be shared, minds are influenced, and fun had.
In partnership with the Southbank Centre, the British Council has brought WOW in several South Asian Countries including Bangladesh.
A series of divisional WOW chapters between July and October 2018 are underway in four locations across Bangladesh: Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet, and Rangpur. These divisional WOW chapters will inform the programme design of a full-scale festival in Dhaka 2019
